This week's race is in Dover on Sunday at 1 P.M. I will need your picks by 2 P.M. on Friday. That is 2 P.M. by tomorrow, Friday, May 31st.

Okay, I found some new song lyrics that were supposedly written by Tony Stewart. I tried to record it but couldn't quite hit the notes. I know, I know. I can never hit the notes on any song. But this song was a particular problem. I will share the lyrics with you though. Just think "Night Moves" by Bob Seger. The song is titled "Pants Loose" by Tony Stewart...or me.

I am not very tall I've gained a few pounds
Fire suit tight, my belly hangin' down
She was my blond haired booty with big round thighs
She married Kevin Harvick and I don't know why
No I don't know why

Out past the racetrack, I'm really gettin' heavy
Got no back seat in my super charged Chevy
Big blondes in my history with eyes so blue
Tryin' to get my pants loose
Orderin' cheese burgers in the drive through
Tryin' to get my pants loose
Is it suppertime
I love sweet suppertime

We weren't in love oh no far from it
We were searchin' for some hot pie from the oven
We were just fat and hungry and bored
Never drive a Ford
And we'd munch away every chance we could
Ryan's Steakhouse, at the buffett, mmm this food is good
I'd feed her she'd feed me
She's gotta nice pair
We're eatin' our share
Tryin' to get my pants loose
Wanna share my creamy yummy juice
Tryin' to get my pants loose
And it was suppertime
Sweet suppertime, suppertime

And oh the flubber
Felt her biting, yeah
And waited on her blubber
Waited on the blubber

I woke last night to taste her blubber
I was on top and she was down under
Started rubbin' our bellies, oh what a view
Ain't it funny how we both moo
Seem to have some weight to lose
Tryin' to get my pants loose
With my zipper closin' in

Now I do have a song for the week. Surprisingly, it's by the winner of last week's race, Kevin Harvick. I have also included an entertaining slide show for you to enjoy.

Kurt Busch Experiences Huge Pole

Kurt Busch loosens up his arm right before working on his pole.

That's right. Kurt Busch actually will start from the front for the running of the night race at Darlington. It is the first time in over 2 seasons that Busch has been able to acheive and maintain a strong pole. He hopes to make good use of his pole tonight and he also hopes to have a good race tonight.

A few drivers had some trouble during practice and scraped the wall to earn a Darlington Stripe.

Gordon's crew goes to work to repair damage caused by the scrape. He was able to continue though.

Danica has a Darlington stripe and will go to a back up car. While in Darlington, Danica went into town to get a new style bikini wax in honor of the race.

She calls it her other Darlington stripe.

In a related story, Ricky Stenhouse hopes to get himself some Darlington stripe after the race.

Okay on to qualifying results. the top 15 qualifiers were; 78, 48, 18, 5, 56, 11, 20, 24, 16, 29, 31, 42, 15, 17, 27

PT-48, 11, 9, 5=36

Joe-48, 24, 9, 18=35
Toby-48, 24, 83, 16=29

Brent-48, 20, 42, 99=27
Chuck-48, 24, 42, 99=26
Norb-99, 20, 42, 18=26
Jim-99, 24, 52, 5=24
Freddy-48, 11, 9, 2=24
Dennis-99, 20, 42, 88=13
Terry-15, 14, 9, 24=11

I have one song completed and one song partially written for the "Song of the Week."  I really need the 78 or 14 to do something great or something stupid so I can use one of the songs. If not I will have to come up with a new one and the other two will just have to wait. Remember, it's about the song, not the singing. Besides the bad singing is part of the charm.

David Slays Goliath

In the biggest upset since David Ragan won the night race at Daytona, David Ragan won the race that finished at night at Talladega. Thanks to a push from his Front Row Racing teammate David Gilliland, Ragan was able to hold off Carl Edwards, Michael Waltrip and Jimmie Johnson to take the checkered flag. It was the first victory for Front Row Racing and could perhaps lead to some new sponsors coming on board.

The race went into a three and a half hour rain delay with 65 laps remaining. When the race restarted, Carl Edwards held the lead. A late race crash brought out a caution and sent the race into overtime. Due to the impending darkness, NASCAR ruled that their would only be one attempt at a green, white, checkered finish. Going into the third turn, Ragan and Gilliland got hooked together and powered their way to the front. Edwards, Waltrip and Johnson said they didn't even see the duo coming towards the front. Ragan did have to put on the block a couple of times before cruising to the win.

Here are the points for the first week of segment 2 and the overall standings.
Michael-216, PT 216, Brent 189, Dennis 189, Chuck 183, Neil 160, Joe 149, Freddy 144, Terry 132, Norb 131, Toby 131, Jim 78

 Overall-Chuck 1763, Michael 1724, PT 1675, Jim 1662, Brent 1647, Freddy 1643, Dennis 1592, Neil 1582, Joe 1547, Terry 1488, Norb 1471, Toby 1469

This weeks race is Saturday night at Darlington. There will be two practices on Friday before qualifying on Friday afternoon. I will need your picks by 4 P.M. on Friday. Remember to go to www.jayskis.com for practice info.

If you ever have a chance to go watch a race at Talladega, you need to do it. Here are some of the things you will see at Talladega.

El Camino hot tub
Norb at it again
Red Solo Cup
The picture speaks for itself
mmm mmm mmm
I'd hate to see what she left behind
Fine wine

Fat girls in Daisy Dukes

Now here are some things you will never see in Talladega.
To many Baptists at a Talladega for him
Fine wine

Now that is scary
He wouldn't last 10 minutes in Talladega

Uhhh...how did I get here?

Here is the song of the week. I added some pictures below to get you in the proper frame of mind while you listen.

Rain Wreaks Havoc

Rain caused qualifying to be rained out at Talladega on Friday. In accordance with NASCAR rules, the starting lineup was set by speeds in the first practice. Here are the top 15 starters for the race:
99, 56, 9, 22, 39, 20, 11, 48, 24, 5, 2, 88, 18, 55, 21

Brent-99, 56, 9, 22=54
Dennis-99, 56, 9, 22=54
Michael-99, 20, 9, 56=52
PT-99, 20, 9, 56=52
Chuck-48, 24, 9, 2=33
Norb-99, 20, 21, 5=32
Neil-48, 20, 9, 29=31
Terry-5, 20, 9, 14=29
Joe-48, 20, 21, 2=24
Toby-88, 20, 21, 2=20
Freddy-2, 20, 42, 15=15
Jim-2, 14, 21, 5=12

Okay we do have some controversy about qualifying. Four of our members took advantage of the rain out by picking the cars that were fastest in the first practice. They picked these cars because they paid attention to the weather forecast and knew that there was a chance that qualifying would be rained out. The practice speeds and the weather forecast are available for all to see. Bill Gates perfected the personal computer and Al Gore invented this thing called the internet. If you have never used it, the internet is amazing. You can find all kinds of information on the internet. For example, you can look up the weather forecast for any city in the world. You can even type in NASCAR practice speeds and several sites will pop up. You can click on these sites and they will tell you NASCAR practice speeds. What's more amazing is that if you don't have access to a computer you can find the info you need on a cell phone. Technology is amazing. Not that I am trying to tell you what to do...okay I am telling you what to do. Do not look for NASCAR info on the NASCAR website. The new NASCAR website is useless. All the info you need about NASCAR racing, practicing, qualifying and news can be found at www.jayskis.com. It is laid out in an easy to use format. That is why I have a link to jayskis on this blog.

After this season we can decide if we want to change the rules and have our members submit their picks before practice instead of after practice. But for now the rules will stay the same.
