I told you so. Junior wrecked his car in practice and has to go to a backup car and start in the back of the field at the 500 and the Gatorade 150's. Now, he still gets credit for winning the pole but will actually start 43rd.

The race party is this Sunday at Toby and Holly's house. Doors open at 11 A.M. Toby and Holly will be making brats and homemade burgers. Heather and I are bringing stuffed pepper soup. Bring whatever your heart desires. Also this is a b.y.o.b. party. Green flag is at 12:19 P.M. Remember to bring your $3.00 to get in on the driver drawing. See you there!!!

Well Junior has the pole for the Daytona 500 but I'm sure he will have about as much success as he did in last night's Bud Shootout. His car won't even look this good by the end of the race next Sunday. Jeff Gordon starts second in the 500. The rest of the starting positions will be set at the Gatorade Duals on Thursday afternoon.

Hey I was driving through town yesterday and I saw Chuck shoveling his sidewalks. Don't forget that I need your drivers this Friday. Also, their has been a slight change in the driver groups. The 71 with Andy Lally is in the second group. The 27 with Paul Menard is in the third group.

This is due to the exchanging of owner's points between two teams.

Daytona is getting closer. Don't you wish you could go? Hey NASCAR announced new qualifying rules. Qualifying order will be determined by practice speeds. The slowest practice time in the top 35 will qualify first while the fastest practice time in the the top 35 qualifies last. If qualifying is rained out race order will be set by practice times. If practice and qualifying is rained out then the starting order of the race will be determined by points.
