Newman Now Number One

Newman Kisses Bricks

After the first 50 laps of the Brickyard 400, it was clear that the two cars to beat were the 48 and the 39. Those cars were the strongest all day long. Newman was trailing Johnson with the laps running down. Newman's crew chief gambled on a late race pit stop by taking two tires while Johnson took four. That move proved to be pivotal. It put Newman in front and even with four fresh tires, Johnson was unable to run the 39 down.

I am positive now that Ryan Newman must have listened to my song and was inspired by the deep meaning of my lyrics. His performance at Indy will go a long way in helping him find a ride for next season. Here are the results and standings.
