Jimmie Johnson easily won the Coke Zero 400. I swear that Chad Knaus must be a genius. I don't know how he gets by with it or exactly what he is getting by with, but he has had to have figured out a way to cheat without NASCAR catching him. Their is no way that one car can dominate at Daytona like the 48 did. Nobody could pass him even if they were getting a push. That just does not happen at a super speedway. Knaus is a known cheater and one of these days his luck is gonna run out.
The actual race was fairly boring. There were a couple late race cautions but all in all, pretty boring. Our fantasy race to determine the segment winner was more exciting then the real race.
So here are the race results and the final standings for the third segment and the overall standings.
Race-Michael 176, Terry 176, Joe 166, Chuck 150, Freddy 141, Toby 141, Jim 139, PT 135, Brent 126, Neil 118, Norb 116, Dennis 115
Segment-Michael 1584, Dennis 1555, PT 1528, Joe 1511, Chuck 1481, Freddy 1458, Neil 1445, Toby 1412, Brent 1394, Terry 1337, Norb 1248, Jim 1215. For those of you that live in Okawville, if you happened to have heard the ambulance coming into town last night around 10 P.M. no need to be alarmed. They were in town for Dennis. He was choking.
Overall-Michael 3092, Chuck 3061, PT 2987, Dennis 2958, Freddy 2957, Joe 2909, Neil 2867, Brent 2852, Jim 2799, Toby 2750, Terry 2693, Norb 2588
So Michael is the winner of Segment 2. Segment 3 starts next Sunday at Loudon. I will need your picks by 2 P.M. on Friday. The third segment has only eight races as compared to nine for segments 1 and 2.
The new drivers groups are posted on the blog. I also emailed and snail mailed the new groups to you. Remember I used the driver points rankings instead of the owner points rankings to set the groups.
I have no song to record this week. After seeing Jimmie Johnson win again, I feel no inspiration.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Michael for winning the segment. I would also like to thank the 48 for being a complete D-BAG and totally screwing me and any chances I had to win the segment. The 9 car would have taken the lead when the 48 decided to bump him right into the 5 car which sent him into the wall. I dont know if the 9 would have won but he would have finished in the top 5. So congrats Jimmie Johnson for wrecking youre way to a win and being a terrible team mate. While im at it why the hell didnt they wave the caution flag on the green white checkered when that last wreck happened? Any other time they would have who cares what the fans want to see Nascar dont care what the fans want any other time. Im done now have a nice day!
ReplyDeleteThank you Kosmo congrats to u for getting in the money. And you would not have got screwed and lost the segment if they woulda waved the flag. Like they do every other time. I do agree that was weird especially at a place where if a car not moving would get hit at full speed some one would get killed . Very strange
ReplyDeleteAnd by the way. I don't understand why every one is hating on the 48. He is the modern day Richard Petty. He is the king of the sport now and for the last 6 or 7 years basically. He has been able to find an edge in a sport where the power and technical aspects are the same for everyone. I think you all are jealous and have some kind of homosexual fantasy about the 48. Good day.
