Kenseth Kicks Competition in Kansas

Matt Kenseth won his second race of the chase but failed to make up any ground on the Chase leaders. Keselowski still holds a slim lead over Johnson, Hamlin and Bowyer. The Kansas race was marred by several accidents due to a slick track caused by the recent repave. "Slip Sliding Away" is the perfect theme song for the track in Kansas. You know, we can put a man on the moon but we can't figure out how to resurface a track without making it slippery as a nympho covered in K-Y Jelly. Surely there is an engineer out there somewhere who can come up with a way to repave a track and give it some grip. When they repaved the track they also put in progressive banking. You would think that the track owners would have taken a lesson from Bristol. DON'T PUT IN PROGRESSIVE BANKING. This year they finally took out the progressive banking at Bristol. They need to do away with it at every track that has it. There are 4 races left this year. This Sunday NASCAR heads back to short track racing at Martinsville. I will need your picks by 2:30 P.M. on Friday. Here are the race results and current standings:

  1. I love Paul Simon...slip slide in away. Busy, busy, busy sports weekend...baseball, football. and of course NASCAR. Taking a road trip to Ft Worth on Nov. 2. Going to see my driver DENNY win the race on Nov. 4th...GO DENNY. Cowboys are playing Sunday Night Football that weekend...in Atlanta...too bad they're not in Dallas...I could have seen the game after the race.
