Since 1987 NASCAR has tried to slow the speeds down at Talladega. They have tried a restrictor plate and now they have made the grill openings on the cars so small that you can't draft for very long without overheating. Now NASCAR has came up with another innovation. These new speed bumps were spotted in the infield and will be installed for the fall race. This will have two possible outcomes, it may make the cars go slower, however it may have the unintended consequence of making the drivers come faster. (Except for maybe Michael Waltrip. I am not so sure he likes these kind of speed bumps)
